Level of studies
- Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field. (e.g. Engineering degree with relevant recruitment experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Predictive Index, MBTI, Insights, Belbin…) are highly desirable.
Key skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Bilingual in English and French, with strong communication skills in both languages.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach a recruitment team, set clear goals, manage workloads, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative environment to drive performance and ensure timely hiring objectives are met.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across cultures and regions, ensuring clarity, collaboration at all levels and effective decision-making.
- Strategic Focus: Demonstrates a long-term perspective while balancing immediate business needs, driving both strategic initiatives and short-term results.
- Skilled in leveraging recruitment metrics and analytics to optimize processes, make informed decisions, and align recruitment efforts with broader business goals.
- Deep understanding of the mining sector’s unique talent needs, particularly for operational, safety, and technical roles, and the ability to tailor recruitment strategies to meet these demands
- Expertise in modern recruitment platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and digital sourcing methods. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors is a strong plus.

Key responsibilities
Strategic Talent Acquisition Planning :
- Lead the development and execution of a global talent acquisition strategy that aligns with Endeavour Mining’s Global Talent management strategy and long-term business goals, focusing on operational growth and addressing complex talent needs across regions, particularly in West Africa.
- Collaborate with HR Operations and leadership to develop proactive workforce planning and recruitment strategies, focused on filling critical roles.
- Act as a subject matter expert, offering innovative talent attraction solutions and addressing critical success issues proactively.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion :
- Champion Endeavour Mining’s diversity and inclusion initiatives by leading recruitment efforts that prioritize gender balance, local talent development, and inclusion of underrepresented communities, particularly women in mining in West Africa.
- Regularly review and refine recruitment strategies with leadership to foster a diverse, equitable workforce and ensure equal opportunities for all candidates.
- Implement targeted talent outreach initiatives to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds, including women in mining and underrepresented communities in West Africa.
Collaborative Stakeholder Management :
- Partner with business leaders, HR teams, and hiring managers to understand recruitment needs, develop tailored strategies, and ensure alignment with operational objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on talent trends, market insights, and recruitment best practices, influencing key talent acquisition decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners (agencies, job boards, industry networks) to expand talent pools and enhance recruitment efficiency.
Talent Sourcing & Employer Branding :
- Drive innovative sourcing strategies to attract top-tier candidates through direct sourcing, digital platforms, and professional networks and targeted outreach initiatives.
- Promote Endeavour Mining’s employer brand by developing campaigns that highlight the company’s culture, values, and commitment to community engagement, safety, and sustainability.
- Ensure a seamless and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from application to onboarding.
Leadership & Team Development :
- Manage a high-performing, agile talent acquisition team, fostering continuous learning, best practices, and process optimization.
- Provide coaching on sourcing strategies, candidate assessments, and market intelligence, driving the professional development of team members.
- Guide, educate, and keep the network of SPOC well-informed to ensure alignment of practices with group process & policies.
- Manage day-to-day recruitment activities, resolve TA-related issues, and lead change management initiatives for recruitment projects.
Recruitment Metrics, Reporting & Compliance :
- Ensure recruitment policies and procedures align with company goals, industry standards, and local labor laws, with a focus on ethical practices and ESG commitments.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, diversity metrics, and cost-per-hire, to assess and improve recruitment effectiveness.
- Compile and analyze recruitment data, providing regular updates and insights to senior leadership to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with the HR Analytics team to develop metrics and tracking mechanisms, ensuring alignment with group processes and policies.
- Generate periodic and/or adhoc reports and presentations for status updates and statutory reporting (e.g., GRI, ESG annual reports).

Position requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in talent acquisition/recruitment, with at least 5 years in a managerial or corporate role within a large-scale operation. Experience in the mining, oil, or heavy industries is preferred.
- Proven track record in managing recruitment for emerging markets, especially in West Africa.
- Demonstrated success in driving high-volume recruitment for senior, technical, and operational roles, with a focus on hard-to-fill positions.
