The Role

Reporting to the Corporate HR Manager, the Group Travel Manager will be responsible for optimising travel expenses, building and managing relationships with travel suppliers and promoting best practice processes across the Group. This will include overseeing all aspects of the company's travel arrangements, maintaining travel policies and managing relationship with corporate travel agencies while ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key relationship owner with Travel Management Company(s) (TMC) and direct relationship with key airlines, hotels, etc. ;
  • Research and negotiate contracts with airlines, hotels, and other travel vendors to secure the best rates and services for the company ;
  • Where necessary, organise and book travel arrangements for team members, including airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and other travel-related services ;
  • Own, maintain and police the travel policy ;
  • Work with all stakeholders to monitor compliance with the travel and expenses policy ;
  • Be responsible for monthly reporting on travel costs, compliance etc. ;
  • Help shape the travel booking system, train travel bookers on processes, be the internal point of contact for issues and the one to escalate and get resolution from the TMC ;
  • Collect and monitor traveller feedback so as to improve service/process/policy ;
  • Advisor on travel insurance, passports, visas, medical forms, other travel documents, etc. ;
  • Work with the group’s ESG manager to collect information on emissions and how to reduce them ;
  • Work with Security on Duty of Care and Travel Risk strategies ;
  • Identify and present opportunities for cost savings, regularly review and propose enhancements to the travel policy and implement regional processes, routines and metrics to improve traveller compliance.

Key Requirements

  • Commercial experience in a corporate travel management role for a global organization.
  • Knowledge of travel booking systems.
  • Familiarity with travel-related regulations and compliance requirements, including TSA regulations and visa requirements.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple travel arrangements and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Negotiation skills to secure the best travel rates and services for the company.
  • Knowledge of travel industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with travel policies and procedures.
  • Analytical skills to track and report on travel expenses and budgets.
  • Strong customer service skills to provide support to team members with travel-related issues.
