Based in Ouaga Office, the IT Network Manager will ensure that the organization network infrastructure operates efficiently, securely, and reliably to support the business's operations and objectives. The role will also ensure that the network infrastructure is available and reliable, minimizing downtime and disruptions to business operations.
LEVEL OF STUDIES
Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
KEY SKILLS
- CCNA, CCNP, CMSS, ECMS, N+ Certifications.
- French / English language skills essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Management
- Team Leadership and Management: Leading a team of network engineers and technicians, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure effective network operations. This includes task assignment, performance evaluation, and professional development of team members.
- Network Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure. This involves ensuring the network is reliable, secure, and scalable to meet current and future business needs.
- Network Performance Optimization: Monitoring network performance and implementing measures to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency. This includes identifying and resolving network bottlenecks, optimizing network configurations, and implementing Quality of Service (QoS) policies.
- Vendor Management: Collaborating with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment, software, and services. This includes negotiating contracts, evaluating vendor proposals, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the organization receives high-quality products and services.
- Cost Efficiency: Manage network resources effectively to minimize costs while maximizing the value delivered to the organization.
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensuring the organization's network infrastructure complies with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices. This includes maintaining documentation, conducting audits, and implementing necessary controls to meet compliance requirements.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Developing and implementing plans and procedures to ensure the organization's network can recover quickly from disruptions and disasters.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicating effectively with key stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and end-users, to understand their requirements, provide updates on network initiatives, and address concerns or issues related to the network infrastructure.
Staff Development
- Identify relevant training programs and certifications for team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge in areas such as networking protocols, security practices, and emerging technologies.
- Provide opportunities for hands-on learning and experience through real-world projects, assignments, and troubleshooting scenarios. Encourage team members to take ownership of tasks and projects, allowing them to learn by doing and gain practical experience.
- Pair team members with more experienced colleagues or mentors who can provide guidance, support, and feedback on technical skills, problem-solving techniques, and career development. Encourage open communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members on their strengths, areas for improvement, and progress toward their development goals.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT with 3 years in similar level-roles.
- Experience in the mining industry is an asset.
- Previous experience in network engineering or administration roles, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale network infrastructure, including multi-site networks, cloud-based services, and virtualized environments.
- Experience with network performance optimization, capacity planning, and scalability considerations.
