Reporting to the SML Logistics and Custom Superintendent, the Logistics officer is responsible for performing the delivery process, particularly the payment process with the FDI and AC process.

Key responsibilities
Logistics
- Ensure import/export processes compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. Specially for exemption processes.
- On reception of the pre-alert, proceed asap for to communicate with the forwarding agent.
- Be update about the GIT
- Be aware about the customs status ( TA / EXEMPTION)
- Ensure the establishment and validity for FDI
- Ensure prompt cooperation with customs brokers (calculation of customs charges, preparing a package of documents for clearance of the Goods at customs).
- Ensure the procedure for FDI and AC for the payment process
- Ensure for the exemption process
- Provide an effective and relevant information on the logistics information and documentation.
- Ensure verification of the Company`s internal contracts with respect to logistics and customs clearance.
- Ensure on time communication to the logistics management team of order readiness for collection
- Be sure that the regularization for anticipated deliveries are updated
- Keep on updated the tracking files for the shipments, exemptions, FDI
- Resolve delivery and/or quality issues with vendors and internal customers as they arise
- Highlight to the Logistics and Customs Superintendent issues that have affected supply outcomes (e.g.,) quality, cost, delivery, etc.
- Keep the right contact with the warehouse for handled the deliveries.
- Ensure data accuracy for logistics tracking table
- Ensure date accuracy for logistics documentation archives.
Invoices and Payment process
- Be on date about the AC establishment for the international payment
- Following the logistics supplier statement
- Be on date about the call off for the logistics service payment
- Ensure data accuracy and input for call off tracking
- Be update about the service purchase orders for logistics suppliers
- Following the GIT as per the pre-alert
- Following the receiving for the logistics service orders
- Ensure data for logistics invoices table
- Ensure data for logistics invoices archives
- Ensure data between the FDI and the imports.
Staff Collaboration
- Provide assistance and support to the team.
- Share the experience with the team
- Facilitate effective and supportive communication between all team members and related departments.
Position requirements
- Minimum Bac+3 in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience Logistics /Customs role in a remote mining environment role and/or by Project.
- 3-years’ experience in international logistics, customs clearance will be an advantage
- Experience in a forwarding company will be a bonus
- Strong communication, organizational and personnel skills
- French
- Good English is a bonus skill
- Knowledge of Incoterms 2010
- Knowledge in account will be a bonus
- Knowledge of the accompanying documentation, international norms, and rules of the Goods shipment by various types of transport.
- Knowledge of Specific of the Goods customs clearance: document flow, procedure for customs costs assessment, calculation of customs payments.
