The role
To maximise equipment availability, utilisation, and reliability by supervising department personnel in the implementation of planned activities, programs and effective production or breakdown response to meet targets within approved cost, schedule and safety parameters. Optimise use of equipment within predetermined capacities & operational performance specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, direct and coordinate/supervise all operations or area personnel and associated assets. Delegate authority and responsibilities to employees within their section to ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner within specified specifications.
- Effectively supervise personnel by providing support, knowledge, equipment, instructions and monitoring to carry out all tasks in a safe, cost effective and productive manner to achieve outcomes of quality and performance targets in line with company policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coordination to ensure priorities are set and met, expenditures are within budget and improvement projects are implemented to meet department production and cost targets....
- Supervisory level expenditure as prescribed in the guideline of authority and responsibility.
- Build your own capability to work efficiently and effectively in your current and future role. Manage, lead and develop abilities and competencies of all personnel within responsibility area, including the development of succession plans.
- Support the company values and develop programs that achieve and maintain high levels of team morale, personal accountability and positive work ethics.
- Ensure quality communication within the teams and between the departments at ITY Operations
- Develop, enhance, and implement “Standard Operating Procedures”, “Standard Work Instructions” and ensure compliance to isolation and tag-out procedures.
- Maintain a proactive approach to occupational health and safety standards and ensure these standards are considered in all procedures and aspects of duties performed.
- Investigate all incidents/accident or behaviors and complete required reports providing solutions, plans for improvement, risk elimination and monitor the implementation of solutions.
Position requirements
- High School Graduate
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a supervisory role
- 5 years of Gold and CIL experience. Skills and Competencies:
- Computer & software capabilities plus knowledge of all planning, cost control and supply systems required in their area of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Behaviour consistent with Endeavour values
- Completed and maintain competency at prescribed standards
