Level of studies
- Recognised Mechanical and Electrical Diploma or Degree.
- Relevant technical qualifications related to Processing Plant Maintenance.
- Project Management qualification will be advantageous.
Key skills
- French / English language skills preferable.
- Working experience with pack office Microsoft.
- Experience of working effectively in a senior management team environment.
- Experience working in multicultural environment, preferably in West Africa.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and build effective relationships and networks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure that all Processing Maintenance safety standards are always complied to, and that all Processing Maintenance staff are fully trained in terms of safety processes and procedures ;
- Ensure that all legal compliances are met and incorporated in the Processing Maintenance standards ;
- Achieve staff progression through quality training and development and set up a highly qualified and competent team ;
- Ensuring that the Process Plant maintenance team work cohesively with the greater site maintenance teams ;
- Oversee sign off and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical installations in the Processing Plant ;
- Oversee and manage overall quality of maintenance in all areas related to the Process plant ;
- Ensure that all mechanical and electrical standards are met and maintained for the complete Processing Plant infrastructure ;
- Ensure that planned shutdowns are conducted in a safe and efficient manner to avoid any deviation in terms of time and scope of work ;
- Compile the Scope of Work for planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Manage special projects and liaise with different Stakeholders to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum downtime ;
- Perform the compilation of the Processing Maintenance departmental budget ;
- Ensure that Capital and Operational budgets are compiled and communicated within set timelines.
- Develop and implement cost control and reporting against forecast and budget ;
- Conduct regular VFL (Visible Felt Leadership) walkarounds in the Processing plant to identify areas of non-conformance ;
- Ensure that all Contractors are vetted to confirm suitability and ensuring that Contractors conduct work on a site acceptable manner.
Position requirements
- Minimum 10 years-experience in fixed plant, infrastructure, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance. Mining industry experience preferable.
- Mechanical and Electrical installation and commissioning experience related to Gold Processing Plants.
- High-level of knowledge of local competencies.
