The construction of two bridges in Safané to boost local economic development

On 22 June 2022, we inaugurated two bridges in Safané, a rural commune located 25km from Mana in the western Boucle du Mouhoun region of Burkina Faso.

These two new bridges, which we financed at a total cost of 190 million F CFA, will facilitate the movement of around 70,000 people from the 40 villages in the commune of Safané and the surrounding area.

Speaking at the official ceremony, Adama Soro, our VP Public Affairs for Burkina Faso, said: "The bridges between villages in the region were in a poor condition which was a challenge for community members conducting business in the region. We recognised how building two new bridges had the potential to significantly enhance local economic activity.”

We are proud to support the population of Safané through this infrastructure investment, which connects households to regional facilities and boosts local economic ecosystems.
