The mine has been in operation for over a decade, producing +2.1Moz gold.
The focus at Mana is to increase the mine life to more than 10 years, through the expansion of the underground deposits and evaluating local open pit targets.

Mana mine
Recent discoveries resulted in the development of the Siou underground mine and the Wona underground mine.
In 2024, the Mana mine transitioned to be a fully underground operation across three declines.

Exploration potential
Mana
Mana is made up of nine exploration permits which cover more than 1,300 square kilometers of the highly prospective Houndé Greenstone Belt. The primary objective is to increase the mine life to ten years.
SEMAFO had completed extensive exploration in the past, but following an exhaustive review, Endeavour sees considerable additional opportunity remaining with the five-year discovery target for Mana now set for 1.0 to 1.5 million ounces of Indicated resources at a discovery cost of less than US$30/oz.
Endeavour's programme is focused on evaluating oxide open pit targets within 20 kilometers of the plant, such as Maoula, and on evaluating underground targets at Siou and Nyafe. Endeavour sees good potential to continue to increase the Wona and Siou underground resources which offer potential to extract high-grade mineralisation. The other historical Mana open pit deposits are constrained by relatively shallow drilling due to the refractory nature of the sulphide ore. Endeavour has not yet considered this refractory resource potential into its five-year discovery target, but it does offer significant upside potential.
