We utilise our supply chain and procurement to multiply our positive impact in our host countries, prioritizing national and local suppliers of goods and service, provided they are competitive and adhere to our standards, as well as contributing to the development of in-country manufacturing and supply chains.

We expect our suppliers to comply with our own policies and standards, as set out in our Supplier Code of Conduct Handbook, particularly in the key areas of human rights, health and safety, ethical business conduct, labour management and environmental stewardship.

In 2023 we spent $1.2 billion on in-country procurement, which represented 81% of our total budget, supporting over 1,600 national and local business across West Africa.
